The selection process for SBI Bharti 2025 is based on shortlisting and an interview.

  • Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee a candidate will be called for an interview. The Bank will constitute a Shortlisting Committee to decide the shortlisting parameters, and an adequate number of candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. The Bank’s decision to call candidates for interview is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
  • Interview: The interview will carry 100 marks. The Bank will decide the qualifying marks for the interview. No correspondence will be entertained regarding this.
  • Merit List: A merit list for final selection will be prepared in descending order of the scores obtained in the interview only, subject to the candidate scoring minimum qualifying marks. If more than one candidate scores the same cut-off marks, they will be ranked in the merit list in descending order of their age.

Who is eligible to apply for the Concurrent Auditor position?

Retired officers from SBI and its former Associate Banks (e-ABs) are eligible to apply, provided they meet specific criteria. These include having retired on superannuation at the age of 60, possessing a good track record, and not having any disciplinary actions against them in the five years prior to retirement. They should also be in good health and not subject to any pending cases with CBI or other law enforcement agencies. Officers who retired as MMGS-III, SMGS-IV/V & TEGS-VI are eligible. Officers who have voluntarily retired/resigned/suspended are not generally eligible, but an exception is made for those who completed 58 years of age and 30 years of service/pensionable service as on the date of applying for voluntary retirement, as per e-Circular No. CDO/P&HRD-PM/20/2022-23 dated 21.06.2022, and who have attained the age of 60 years.

What is the remuneration offered to Concurrent Auditors, and are there any additional benefits?

The monthly lump sum compensation varies depending on the retired grade, as follows: MMGS-III (Rs. 45,000), SMGS-IV (Rs. 50,000), SMGS-V (Rs. 65,000), and TEGS-VI (Rs. 80,000). This compensation is without prejudice to their pension. No additional benefits like housing, furniture, or membership in Provident Fund/Pension Fund are provided. For cluster audit, the remuneration is Rs. 2000 per visit/per branch. Income tax will be deducted at source.
