The Bihar Technical Services Commission (BTSC) has announced the recruitment of 2969 Laboratory Technicians for the Department of Health, Bihar, Patna. The online application process is open from 4th March 2025 to 1st April 2025.

Position : Laboratory Technician
Department : Department of Health, Bihar, Patna
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have completed Intermediate (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution is also required.
Age Limit (as of 01.08.2024):
- Unreserved: 37 years
- Women: 40 years
- Backward/Most Backward: 40 years
- SC/ST: 42 years
Application Fee:
- General/Backward/Very Backward: ₹600
- SC/ST (Bihar Residents): ₹150
- Women (Bihar Residents): ₹150
- Out-of-State: ₹600
- Disabled: ₹150
Selection Process:
- Written Exam (75 marks): Computer-Based Testing (CBT) with 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration is 2 hours, and there is a negative marking of -0.25 per wrong answer.
- Work Experience (25 marks): Max 25 marks for contract-based work experience in Bihar government hospitals.
- Minimum Marks to Qualify: 40% for General, 36.5% for Backward, 34% for SC/ST, 32% for Disabled candidates.
