For Electrician 'A' and 'B', ITI (Electrical) with 4 years/3 years experience or Class 10th with 7 years/6 years of experience are required, alongside a valid wireman permit. WED 'B' requires a Diploma/Graduate degree with one year's relevant experience, an Apprenticeship with 3 years experience, or Class 10th with 6 years experience, along with a valid 1st Class Winding Engine Driver's Certificate. Statutory certificates specific to each role must be acquired before experience is considered. Additionally, candidates with higher qualifications in Electrical Engineering may apply for the Chargeman and Electrician positions, provided they possess the experience and statutory certificates required for those with a diploma/ITI qualifications.

What is the selection procedure, and what type of tests are involved?

The selection process involves a two-stage process. The first level is a written test of 100 marks, which includes subject knowledge (80 marks) and general knowledge (20 marks), and is objective in nature, consisting of multiple choice questions in English and Hindi. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks are then called for a second level which includes a trade test and a writing ability test, which are qualifying in nature. The trade test and writing ability test are not added to the written test marks and the merit list is based solely on the written test marks. A separate minimum mark is required for passing the second stage depending on your category.
