The High Court of Manipur has announced the opening of online applications for the post of Junior Grade Translator. The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies, with the number of posts subject to increase.
Manipur High Court Recruitment 2025 Overview
Post: 04 Junior Grade Translator
Pay Scale: Level 7 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) of MS(RP), 2019 per month, plus other admissible allowances
Online Application Dates:
- Start Date: 25th March, 2025 (11:00 A.M.)
- Closing Date: 10th April, 2025 (04:00 P.M.)
- Admit Card: The date for downloading the admit card will be announced later on the official website.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Manipuri with proficiency in English from a recognised University/Institute, OR
- Master’s Degree in English/Linguistics with proficiency in the official language of the State from a recognised University
- Proficiency in Computer use is required.
- A Bachelor of Law degree will be given preference.
Age Limit (as on the last date of application):
- 38 years for general candidates
- 41 years for OBC candidates
- 43 years for SC/ST candidates
- Must have attained 18 years.
Application Process:
- Online Application: Apply through the High Court of Manipur website.
- Registration: New users must register on the website and use a personal, valid email ID for future communication.
- Login: After registration, log in using the Registration Number and Password.
- Application Form: Fill in the required details in the online application form.
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and other necessary documents as per the instructions
Examination Fees (Online Payment):
- Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBC candidates
- Rs. 800/- for ST/SC candidates
- Payment must be made online through UPI and Net banking.
Selection Process:
- Written Examination (100 marks):
- Translation from English to Manipuri and vice-versa
- General English & General Awareness
- Duration: 150 minutes
- Cut-off/Pass marks (aggregate): 40 marks
- Candidates will be shortlisted in a 5:1 ratio based on the written exam merit.
- Computer Proficiency Test (20 marks):
- Basic Computer Operations, MS Word, Internet browsing & e-mailing
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Cut-off/Pass marks (aggregate): 10 marks
- Viva Voce/Interview (30 marks):
- Only candidates who qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test will be called for the interview.
- Final Selection: Based on overall marks obtained in the Written Examination, Computer Proficiency Test, and Viva Voce/Interview.
