This recruitment drive includes a variety of positions across different categories within Madhya Pradesh's power companies. These roles are primarily for trainee positions across the power generation, distribution, transmission and management sectors. Some key positions include: Office Assistant Grade-III, Line Attendant (Distribution), Security Sub-Inspector, Junior Engineer (Plant - Mechanical), Assistant Manager (HR), Pharmacist, Store Assistant, Junior Stenographer, A.N.M., Dresser, Staff Nurse, Lab Technician, Radiographer, ECG Technician, Fireman, Publicity Officer, Programmer, Welfare Assistant, and Civil Attendant. Many of these roles are initially training positions, with subsequent service requirements upon completion. The document lists specific required qualifications for each position. The selection process generally includes an online computer based test (CBT). However, certain posts may have a walk-in process. For Line Attendant (Distribution) posts, candidates with experience in meter reading under an MP power company can receive bonus marks.

The application fee for General category (UR) candidates is ₹1200. For SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), Persons with Disabilities and EWS candidates who are residents of MP, the fee is ₹600. Payment of the fee is only accepted through online methods (Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI). The fees are non-refundable and non-adjustable to future exams. Applicants must make sure that their payment is complete and their eligibility is assured before paying the fees, or if they are applying for more than one post.

Reservations are primarily for candidates who are domicile residents of Madhya Pradesh. Vacancies are reserved for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS applicants as per the state government's roster system. Additionally, 33% horizontal reservation is provided to women. A separate reservation of 4% is provided for persons with disabilities. There are also reservations for ex-servicemen. Contract employees who have served for at least 5 years are also entitled to 50% of vacancies up to the level of posts that are similar to their contract posts. Reservation rules are subject to court decisions regarding OBC category. Certain tribal groups from designated districts of MP are exempt from the regular selection process and get direct appointments as long as they meet the minimum qualifications.
